Gdansk and the Tri-City calendar of the most important events in 2024

When we looked at the event calendar set to take place in Gdansk, but also throughout the Tri-City area, we had only one thing to say – a big WOW! It seems that the year 2024 will be full of energetic and unforgettable emotions!

Below we present the music events calendar, immediately followed by a few selections from this year that are also worth finding time for:

  • Sanah - this unique artist will grace the Ergo Arena on March 19-20, 2024, enchanting listeners with her angelic voice and poetic lyrics. Her performances, full of energetic melodies and tender ballads, are a true feast for the soul.
  • Kaśka Sochacka - on April 6, 2024, the stage at Stary Maneż will become home to this sensitive artist. Her voice, full of emotion and subtlety, creates a unique atmosphere at every concert.
  • Vito Bambino - on April 7, 2024, B90 will transform into a "home" of Vito's music. His distinctive, slightly raspy voice and original lyrics attract fans of authenticity and good music.
  • Sea You 3city music showcase - April 12-13, 2024 at the Shakespeare Theatre, the Tri-City music scene will celebrate again! From small to large, every artist will have their 5 minutes during this time.
  • Kwiat Jabloni - the music of this magical sibling duo will envelop us on April 22, 2024 at Stary Maneż.
  • Dawid Podsiadlo - on June 1-2, 2024, this big star of the Polish music scene will capture the hearts of fans at Gdańsk's Polsat Plus Arena. His dynamic performances and strong, energetic voice guarantee unforgettable experiences, and the stage in 360 degrees format will ensure the best view of the show for everyone!
  • Sting - on June 6, 2024, the world-class rock music legend will present his greatest hits at Ergo Arena. His unmatched compositions and unique voice make each concert a major event.
  • Open’er Festival - from July 3 to 6, 2024, Kosakowo, near Gdynia, as it has for many years, will become a mecca for music lovers. Open’er, known for its genre diversity and international lineup of performers, announces another edition full of surprises. We already know to expect stars like Dua Lipa and Foo Fighters!
  • Ed Sheeran - on July 12-13, 2024, Ed Sheeran will warm the hearts of his fans performing at Gdańsk's Polsat Plus Arena. These two evenings will not only be an opportunity to hear hits like "Shape of You", "Perfect", or "Thinking Out Loud" live, but also to experience new arrangements and songs from the artist's latest album.
  • Meskie Granie - on July 21-22, 2024, the Polsat Plus Arena in Gdansk will become the stage for this iconic music project, attracting droves of fans of authentic, live music. This being the 15th edition means we can expect something phenomenal this year!
  • Globaltica - the next edition of the Globaltica World Cultures Festival will take place on July 20-24, 2024 in Gdynia. The festival is known for presenting the richness of world cultures through music, dance, and diverse workshops. Carefully selected sounds blend with laughter and joy of both older and younger participants. It's a true celebration of music at the highest level!
  • Wisloujscie - from August 23 to 25, 2024, the Gdańsk Wisłoujscie Fortress will transform into a space full of musical explorations. The festival, known for its exciting mix of genres, is the perfect place for those seeking new sounds in electronic music or melodic techno.
  • Gdansk Siesta Festival - on September 20, 2024, the stage at Stary Manez will fill with the melancholy and beauty of Portuguese fado. Fado, recognized as intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO, is more than music – it's a way of expressing the Portuguese soul, full of longing, love, and life reflections.
  • Inside Seaside Festival - on November 9-10, 2024, the seaside landscape of Gdansk will become the setting for a unique musical event. The second edition of the largest indoor festival in Poland, where you'll see stars of not only the Polish music scene. The stages at Amber Expo will ignite!

Info Share (May 22-23, 2024) – a two-day celebration for those who are just starting – start-ups, small businesses, digital creators, investors, or business leaders. FETA, International Festival of Street Theatres and Outdoor Theatres (July 11-14, 2024) - four days during which the Tri-City turns into a stage for international street artists. Shakespeare Festival (July 26 - August 4, 2024) – any theatre lovers here? The Shakespeare Festival in Gdańsk is when plays come alive in modern performances. Sopot Stand-up Festival (July 5, 2024) - the Forest Opera in Sopot invites you to a dose of great humor! The event will gather the best Polish stand-up comedians, offering a mix of sharper and more subtle humor for a wide audience.

St. Dominic's Fair (from July 27 to August 18, 2024) - it's not just a tradition, it's a festival of life! For almost a month, the streets of Gdańsk will be filled with stalls full of handicrafts, music, and culinary gems. Walking among the stalls, you'll feel the pulse of history, as the St. Dominic's Fair in Gdansk is an event with over 750 years of tradition, which every year transports visitors back in time, offering not only the possibility to buy antiques and crafts from local Creators but also unforgettable cultural attractions.

Baltic Sail Gdansk (August 23-27, 2024) - take a deep breath of the sea breeze during Baltic Sail! The event attracts tall ships from different parts of the world, creating an unforgettable festival on water. It's an opportunity to admire majestic ships, and for the daring – to participate in sails and regattas. The sea, sails, and history - these three words best describe this maritime festival.

Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia (September 18 - 23, 2024) - Polish cinema enthusiasts are in for a treat, as for many years Gdynia becomes the center of domestic cinematography in September. The festival, one of the most important film events in Poland, showcases premiere screenings of short and feature-length films as well as meetings with their creators.

Christmas Market in Gdansk (November 24 - December 23, 2024) - At the end of the year, immerse yourself in the Christmas atmosphere at the Christmas Market. Lights, decorations, and music create a unique atmosphere. Among the stalls with handicrafts, Christmas treats, and hot mulled wine, everyone will find something for themselves to feel the magic of the holidays. What's more! The Gdańsk Christmas market in 2023 received second place in the competition for the "most beautiful Christmas market in Europe."
